Rocky Mountains Trip
This 4000 mile family vacation began in Portland in late August 1998. We traveled east through Oregon and Idaho to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. From there we visited the Grand Tetons and then headed north for several days touring Yellowstone Park. Our journey took us out the east entrance of the park, made our way through Cody and Casper, and saw a bit of the Grasslands in western Nebraska. From there it was north through Hot Springs, South Dakota, stopping at the Wind Caves, Black Hills and Mount Rushmore. Many miles sans restaurants later we found ourselves near the North Dakota Badlands, from whence we headed northwest up to Glacier Park in Montana. Tired and grouchy we headed back through Idaho with one final stop in the Columbia Gorge at Multnomah Falls in early September. Whew! Most of these shots were scanned from the original 35mm slides.
