Key West
Travel for work is generally a chore, but on rare occasions a real pleasure. Case in point...We headed east in May 2013 for a week of continuing professional education in the Florida Keys. First time in the area and we found much to see and do. We flew into Fort Lauderdale, rented a small car and made our first stop in South Beach, Miami. Next day we drove the "Highway that Goes to the Sea" from Miami to Key West, pausing briefly to partake of the great food and scenery at the Hungry Tarpon in Islamorada. Weekday mornings and early afternoons were spent focused on various accounting and business topics, while later in the day we were free to enjoy the region's visual, sporting and culinary possibilities. On our way back we stayed in Coral Gables and made time for a nice visit with many of the critters in the Everglades. Here are a few captured memories. Enjoy!
